Are you looking for a fun, hands-on shape activity for your preschool or kindergarten child? The Thanksgiving Dinner Shape Game is an enticing way to practice shapes and matching. This game can be played independently, with a partner, or in a small group.

In this game, preschoolers and kindergarteners will choose a shape place setting mat and matching food pieces. Each player will spin a spinner or roll a die from the included game pieces. Then the player adds the food spun/rolled to the plate on the mat. Players take turns spinning/rolling until one player fills the plate with all six foods. 

The game can be played by a single player, with two or three children, or in a small group setting.

An alternative way to use this game is by creating a matching game. Lay out two or more shape place setting mats. A preschooler or kindergartener will sort the food shapes and place on the correct mat. This activity can be done with two or three mats for one child or up to all twelve mats for a small group.
