The Fall Fine Motor Activities resource is hands-on and helps children develop 9 important preschool and kindergarten skills independently using inexpensive materials often found around the home.

This product helps preschoolers and kindergarteners practice working on fine motor skills in engaging, hands-on learning activities. Through these activities, children will practice cutting, tracing, pin poking, and lacing. They will develop dexterity and strengthen hand muscles through playdough activities, cube building, cotton swab painting, and marking dots with daubers or pompoms. All activities have a fun fall theme.

Fall Fine Motor Activities Include

  • Playdough Activities: 5 pages of objects (2 to a page for 10 total objects) to copy with play dough with a traceable object name underneath, color and black/white

  • Cube Building: 8 full-page images to build with cubes, with space underneath to write how many of each color cube is used, color and black/white; also included are ¼ page images in color to help guide children when creating with the black/white pages

  • Tracing: 3 pages of tracing strips for a total of 9 strips in color and black/white; tracing booklet with 7 images to trace in black/white, 2 full-page and 2 half-page tracing mats with color background for total of 6 mats

  • Cutting: 3 pages of cutting strips for a total of 12 strips in black/white; 3 pages of cutting images for a total of 18 images along with 3 pages of background images to glue the cut images onto, all in black/white

  • Lacing: 5 images to create lacing cards, both in color and black/white

  • Cotton Swab Painting: 5 pages of objects (2 to a page for a total of 10 objects) for children to dot paint on cotton swabs around the object with traceable object names underneath in black/white

  • Dab a Dot/Pompom Sheets: 5 full-page objects in color for children to cover with pompoms and 5 full-page objects in black/white for children to mark with daubers.

  • Pin Poking: 3 pages of images (4 to a page for a total of 12 images) for children to poke around with a push pin in black/white. Children can also use it as a connect the dots activity.

  • Directed Drawing: 6 pages of directed drawing for children to follow step-by-step to draw fall objects.
